Stefano Chioetto, PE

Stefano Chioetto is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector, having been passionate about accelerating the transition to a sustainable and just energy economy since his early days as a university faculty member in Peru, advocating for solar PV solutions in rural communities. Stefano spent the past seven years at the intersection of technical innovation and economic strategy, designing and optimizing Behind-the-Meter Distributed Energy Resource and Microgrid Systems to fulfill his customers’ financial, decarbonization and resiliency expectations.

With experience spanning three continents, Stefano brings a global perspective and a commitment to innovation, mentorship, and impactful energy solutions. He has led Engineering teams and worked on inter-divisional projects across the Atlantic Ocean to improve and standardize company operations on both sides of the pond. His strong communication skills enabled him to author and present several technical papers at international forums.

Stefano is a licensed P.E. in the State of Colorado, a Certified Energy Manager and a LEED AP in Building Design & Construction. He holds an International MBA from Denver University’s Daniels College of Business, a MS in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado Denver, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Milan, Italy.
