Axel brings more than a decade of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, and business operations to OurEnergy. His career has focused on helping organizations improve financial visibility, align strategy with execution, and make data-driven decisions that enable sustainable growth.

Before joining OurEnergy, Axel led FP&A and business steering functions for SAP’s digital manufacturing and IoT businesses, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for a global software portfolio. He has a track record of increasing transparency across multimillion-dollar operating budgets, improving profitability through KPI-driven insights, and strengthening cross-functional collaboration between finance, product, and engineering teams. He is passionate about helping mission-driven teams translate complex data into actionable business strategies.

At OurEnergy, Axel supports the company’s evolution by establishing scalable financial processes, developing quarterly and long-term forecasts, and building sound management reporting for fact-based decision-making. 

Based in Santa Cruz, California, Axel enjoys sailing, gardening, and exploring the outdoors in his self-converted camper van.
